VALORANT

The VALORANT IGNITION SERIES cycle is underway — this time the T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Showdown was played, a tournament prepared for formations from North America. After three days of competition, finally, the representatives of TSM could raise their hands up in a gesture of triumph, after they did not suffer a single defeat.

Matthew “Wardell” Yu and his colleagues already showed in the group stage that they are only interested in the first place. During the three meetings, they didn’t even lose a single map, beating, among other, Immortals. Only Sentinels could boast about a similar feat, with three 2:0 wins in their group, but in the end it didn’t matter, because Jay “sinatra” Won’s team said goodbye to the event in the play-offs, losing to Immortals first, and then also to FaZe Clan.

In turn, TSM started the knockout phase with light torments after a 2:1 victory against their opponents. After that they faced FaZe and T1, and after defeating both they moved onto the grand final. There, however, they again had to face the Braxton “brax” Pierce’s team. And this time they smashed it smoothly, winning both Haven and Ascent. Much of the credit goes to Wardell, who was awarded by THE SPIKE — the MVP title of the entire event.

The final classification and distribution of the T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Showdown prize pool is as follows:

1. TSM $ 25,000
2. T1 $ 15,000
3. Immortals $ 5,000
4. FaZe Clan $ 5,000
5-6. 100 Thieves, Sentinels
7-8. Gen.G Esports, together we are terrific
9-12. Cloud9, Code7, Mixup, Spot Up
13-16. Charlotte Phoenix, Echo 8, Team Ninja, Prospects
