CS:GO

The generational exchange at Ninjas in Pajamas had its first act at the end of September, when the Swedish organization said goodbye to Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund. There was still one veteran in the formation, Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg, who, despite the passage of time, remained on the right level. Nevertheless, the 31-year-old from today will no longer be part of NiP, because he decided to change the environment.

In an official announcement, the Scandinavian organization did not specify who would be Lindberg’s new employer, but he would most likely join Team Dignitas, where he would meet his former companions. It would be only the second team for f0rest in the CS:GO era, after all, from the very beginning of the game he was associated with NiP, advancing under this flag to the finals of as many as five Majors. The Swede did not have a lot of luck in the most important events co-organized by Valve — only once, during ESL One Cologne 2014, he stood on the top podium, collecting $100,000 to share with his colleagues.

“Patrik is a true legend of this game with a long list of achievements. He has played a key role in creating the NiP heritage and brand for many years, which we greatly respect and will never forget,” said Jonas Gundersen, the organization’s operational director. “After such a long stay in the team and numerous successes, it is natural to want to change the environment. Of course, we decided to respect his request and wish him all the best during his next adventure.”

The will of f0rest obliged the organization to seek out new talents to join the team. This anointed Tim “nawwk” Jonasson, who was bought from Team GamerLegion. Now Jonasson finally got out of the German organization and signed the contract with Ninjas in Pyjamas.

“Joining NiP is an amazing feeling. It has been my dream since I started playing CS:GO and to be honest I still can’t believe it,” nawwk said in a statement. “I will be a hybrid player and the second sniper. Although this is a new challenge for me, I am ready to work hard and show what I can do. I believe that in this composition we will be able to do great things in the near future.”

The composition of Ninjas in Pyjamas now looks as follows:

  • Fredrik “REZ” Sterner
  • Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson
  • Nicolas “Plopski” Gonzalez Zamora
  • Simon “twist” Eliasson
  • Tim “nawwk” Jonasson
  • Björn “THREAT” Pers – coach
