Another famous Counter-Strike player has found a safe haven for himself in VALORANT. We are talking about Kirill “ANGE1” Karasiow, whose team joined FunPlus Phoenix today and, under the flag of the Chinese organization, will join the Allied Esports Odyssey event.
For five years, the Ukrainian was the central figure of the CS:GO division in HellRaisers, with which he regularly performed at the most important events on the stage, including the Majors. Only recently has the team significantly lowered the level, and subsequent roster changes did not help.
Finally, ANGE1 himself left, and he immediately decided to devote himself to the new Riot Games title. Initially, he co-created the East European mix PartyParrots, and when it broke up, he started to support ZyppanGoKill. And it is with the members of this team that he became involved with FPX today.
In addition to Karasiow, the team also includes Tobias “shadow” Flodström, Johan “Meddo” Renbjörk Lundborg and Pontus “Zyppan” Eek. Until recently, all three played for FABRIKEN, and Zyppan also played with Ninjas in Pajamas for some time. Andrey “Shao” Kiprsky, a friend of ANGE1 from the already mentioned PartyParrots, took the last available seat.
Now the competitors are facing the first challenge as FPX. In their first match against Team Liquid in the Allied Esports Odyssey, the team reached a draw 1:1, winning 13-11 on Haven, but losing in overtime 12-14 on Bind. In their second match FPX confidently defeated G2 Esports 2:0, who were playing without the support of David “Davidp” Prins.
The composition of the VALORANTA division under FunPlus Phoenix is as follows:
- Pontus “Zyppan” Eek
- Johan “Meddo” Renbjörk Lundborg
- Tobias “shadow” Flodström
- Kirill “ANGE1” Karasiow
- Andrey “Shao” Kiprsky
- Erik “d00mbr0s” Sandgren – the coach
