Niels Christian “NaToSaphiX” Sillassen is no longer a member of Nordavind DNB’s top five. The international team in the era of coronavirus has had reasonable success, winning Eden Arena: Malta Vibes – Week 1 and placing third at BLAST Rising. And yet they decided to make a change.
The 23-year-old Dane joined the ranks of the Norwegian formation earlier this year, when Nordavind gathered an impressive five under its wings. In a duet with Kevin “HS” Tarn, Sillassen joined the internationally successful Ruben “RUBINO” Villarroel, Jorgen “Cromen” Robertsen and Jesper “TENZKI” Plougmann. You could certainly expect a lot from the former representatives of FaZe Clan, OpTic Gaming, and Dignitas.
Despite many attempts, Nordavind did not manage to get out of the depths of the European backyard, because its results were simply too unstable. Its stabilization was undoubtedly not helped by RUBINO’s wrist injury, which finally excluded the Norwegian from the main squad some time ago. Now NaToSaphiX shared his fate.
“Despite some good performances recently and before the summer break, we would like to inform you with a heavy heart that NaToSaphiX will withdraw from our main line-up,” Nordavind said in a statement. “Both sides made this decision together after realizing that in order to further develop units and teams, a change is needed due to differences in playstyle and approach to gameplay in Counter-Strike. Thank you for the amazing adventure and the mass of impressions you have provided to our fans so far.”
This is what the main team of the Norwegian brand looks like today:
- Jesper “TENZKI” Plougmann
- Haris “H4RR3” Hadžić
- Kevin “HS” Tarn
- Jørgen “cromen” Robertsen
- Dennis “Rytter” Rytter – coach
Interestingly, despite the vacancy in the active squad, Nordavind continues to compete in the qualifiers for FunSpark ULTI. Kristjan “FejtZ” Allsaar, whose last employer was SMASH Esports, appeared on the server as a substitute. Will the Estonian be involved with the Norwegian organization for a longer period? We cannot say with certainty yet.
